Bodacious

~*Bodacious*~

Oft-times our body
seems to be
Much stronger than
our minds and hearts
Not swayed so much by
emotion or intellect
But Moved instead
By bodacious flower parts

Adorable

~*Adorable*~

They were all I could find that the cold had spared,
But they waited to cheer us a little while!
And I guess, mamma, that the summer meant
To say good-bye with just one last smile

Oh! hearts that weep, and are prone to yield
To the touch of gloom in this world of ours,
Go search yourselves, and you'll always find
That there still remains a "handful of flowers.

Z for Zippy

~*Zippy Trio*~

This photograph was clicked a few days back, at a garden in my company campus. This trio was satnding tall, though all alone in the ground and was facing all the tough challenges thrown to them by the cold weather.

When the times comes I stand alone,
Me, Myself and I
With all that I have.
With all I have done wrong.
With all I have created.

This is my life and I will confront it all,
standing alone.

Survivng Winter

~*Survivng Winter*~

(Cold weather has disrupted life across India, claiming dozens of lives in the northern part. For the first time, even in Hyderabad we felt the cold weather when the mercury touch as low as 9 degree.  It looks like Hyderabad is heading for bone chilling days. Harsh chilly days and biting cold nights are set to continue with both day and night temperatures dipping considerably by 4 to 6 degrees. This picture was clicked during one of our visits to the older Hyderabad, where a monkey was trying to get some heat from the pale sun and having his much needed breakfast.)

Y for youthful

~*Youthful*~

(The picture was clicked on the wee hours of 1st January 2011 as a first picture of the new year. I was amazed by the charm spread by this young flower who just open its pellets but still wants to mesmerize the whole world.)

Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower, but only so an hour.
(Then) leaf subsides to leaf, so Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day, Nothing gold can stay.
